The data we collect about you
We collect only the personal data we need to run your account, meet our duties as a licensed gambling operator and keep the site secure. Most of it comes from you when you register, deposit, play or contact us. Some is created automatically as you use the site, and some reaches us from the partners who carry out checks on our behalf.
Account and contact details
- Your name, date of birth, residential address, e-mail address and mobile number.
- The username, password and security details you set for your account.
- Your currency, communication preferences and the safer gambling settings you choose.
- Messages you send us by e-mail or live chat, and our replies to them.
Identity and age verification documents
Because we may only accept customers aged 18 or over, we ask for documents that confirm who you are, where you live and how you fund your play. These usually include photographic identification, a proof of address and, where needed, evidence of the source of your funds. We keep what you send us and a record of the outcome of each check.
Transactions and gameplay
- Deposits, withdrawals and pending payments, with the payment method used shown in masked form.
- Bonuses and promotions credited to your account and how they were used.
- The games you open, your stakes, results and session lengths.
- Deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion requests recorded on your account.
Device and usage data
- IP address, the approximate location derived from it, device type, operating system and browser.
- Log data such as sign-in times, pages visited and actions taken in the cashier.
- Cookie and similar identifiers, as described in our Cookie Policy.
Why we use your data
Every use of your data has a purpose connected with running the site. We do not use it for anything else.
- To open, run and close your account, sign you in, credit deposits and process withdrawals.
- To confirm that you are 18 or over and that you are who you say you are, when you register and at points afterwards.
- To prevent fraud, payment abuse, collusion and bonus abuse, and to protect accounts from unauthorised access.
- To meet anti-money laundering duties, keep the records our gaming licence requires and answer lawful requests from authorities.
- To apply the safer gambling tools you set and to act where patterns of play suggest harm.
- To handle your questions, payment queries and complaints, and to keep the site stable and secure.
- To send offers and news through the channels you opted into, and to judge which of those offers may suit you.
The legal bases we rely on under UK GDPR
Data protection law requires us to have a legal basis for each use of your personal data. In plain words, these are the bases that apply.
| What we use your data for | Legal basis | What that means |
|---|---|---|
| Running your account, taking deposits and paying withdrawals | Performance of a contract | We need this data to provide the service set out in our terms and conditions. |
| Age and identity checks, anti-money laundering work and record keeping | Legal obligation | The law and our licence conditions require these checks and the records that follow them. |
| Fraud prevention, account security and site stability | Legitimate interests | We have a genuine business interest, which we weigh against your privacy before acting. |
| Marketing by e-mail, SMS or push message | Consent | We send these only if you opted in, and you can withdraw that consent at any time. |
| Safer gambling action and co-operation with authorities | Legal obligation | We must protect customers and meet the duties placed on licensed operators. |
Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it in your account settings, through the unsubscribe option in any marketing message, or by writing to us. Withdrawing consent does not stop messages we must send about your account, such as payment confirmations, changes to our terms or the outcome of a check.
How long we keep your data
We keep your personal data for as long as your account is open, and then for the period the law and our record-keeping duties require after it closes. We do not hold data for longer than we need it.
- Account, transaction and verification records are held for the retention period set by anti-money laundering and gambling rules once the account is closed.
- Contact and complaint records are kept long enough to show how a matter was handled and to answer later questions about it.
- Marketing preferences, including an objection or a withdrawal of consent, are kept so that we can continue to honour them.
- Self-exclusion records are kept for the length of the exclusion and the period that follows it, so that an exclusion cannot be lifted early by mistake.
When a retention period ends, we delete the data or anonymise it so that it can no longer be linked to you.
Your rights, cookies and how to reach us
You hold rights over the data we keep about you. Some are limited where we must retain records for legal reasons, and we will explain clearly if that applies to your request.
- Access - ask for a copy of the data we hold and what we do with it.
- Correction - have inaccurate or incomplete details put right.
- Erasure - ask us to delete data we no longer have a reason to keep.
- Restriction - ask us to pause a use of your data while a query is settled.
- Objection - object to uses based on our legitimate interests, and stop marketing at any time.
- Portability - receive the data you gave us in a commonly used electronic format.
To use any of these rights, write to support@casinogamebookers.co.uk from the e-mail address registered on your account, or ask our live chat team to pass your request on. General questions about this policy can be sent to privacy@casinogamebookers.co.uk. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we will answer within the time data protection law allows.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK supervisory authority for data protection. We would ask you to raise the matter with us first so that we have the chance to put it right.
Cookies
We and our partners use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your settings, measure how the site is used and, where you allow it, tailor the offers you see. You can set your preferences when you first visit and change them at any time, and your browser gives you further control; blocking some cookies may stop parts of the cashier and the games from working. The categories we use are set out in full in our Cookie Policy.
If we change this policy, we will publish the updated version on this page and, where a change matters to you, tell you by e-mail or through a notice in your account.
